Hii G33ks,As you may have noticed, Riot introduced the 6th and 7th ranks of a champion mastery. However, I feel that these ranks are quite bad in the way they are obtainable. Right now it you need to get 2 S- or higher ranks on that champion with mastery level 5, and then also obtain a champion shard for that champion. This however, is a bad thing, especially the fact that I have to obtain that shard for a champion in order to level it up. You can however, choose to spend 500 blue essence, or a permanent champion shard to level up. My issue with this is that you basically have to get either 500 blue essence, or shards for the champion in order to level up. So what is the problem? the fact that in order to get those shards or essence, I need to open chests. Getting the chests is not a huge problem for me, but getting a key, that is a problem.You can only get keys trough the store, or by combining 3 key fragments together into a key. Buying a key costs 125RP, which costs real money, and finding 3 key fragments can be quite hard. the Hextech Crafting system is out for about 2 months now, and I only received about 5 or 6 key fragments, with quite a decent win rate. I do have some champions level5, and I do have tokens for them, but I do not have the blue essence or champion shards in order to level them up.So as you may or may not see, this is mostly a matter of luck rather than skill. I would love to see Riot improve on this so that getting level 6 is more aimed towards actual skill with that champion, rather than having good players being stuck at level5, because they are not lucky enough to get those keys.And it's not just because I have bad luck, but some of my friends as well, they are very highly skilled in the champions they play, but because of their bad luck, they simply don't get the key fragments.And then there is also the fact that you have to be lucky to draw the champion shards for your champion, or get a few worthless shards, but this can take some time.
